Each meeting with JP3 (Jivko Pterov trio) is an experience leaving lasting marks and strong emotion. For there is nothing more exciting than experiencing together the innermost sharing of the art, which is being created at the same time, by three fully dedicated musicians.

JP3 joins the great talents of recognized professionals: Jivko Petrov piano, Vesselin Vesselinov-Eko double bass, and Dimitar Semov drums, who are at the bottom of everything happening in the Premier League of the Bulgarian pop and jazz music in the past 15 years. The idea of JP3 was conceived by Vesselin Vesselinov-Eko in 2004 at the Apolonia Festival after a solo concert of pianist Jivko Petrov. The first joint project of the trio was the album Understandable, recorded live during a concert at the Central Military Club in Sofia in 2006 and offered on DVD (16:9) format. In 2007, the trio was invited to take part in the concert of Chick Corea and Béla Fleck at the National Palace of Culture. The album Its a Dream with original music by Jivko Petrov was released in 2012 and became the best-selling album for the year in Eastern Europe. The eponymous piece features in addition the world-famous violinist Vasko Vassilev, who described his experience as follows: It was a real pleasure for me to become part of Jivkos music. We know each other quite well and we have worked together on a number of occasions during the past years, but it is only now that he invited me to make a recording of his composition. I am happy to be part of the album. JP3 have played on the same stage with famous names such as Sarah Brightman, Zucchero, Omar Faruk, Francesco Bearzatti, Vasko Vassilev, Lili Ivanova, Beloslava, Maria Ilieva, Kamelia Todorova, Lyubo Kirov, Orlin Pavlov, Orlin Goranov, etc.

At their concert within the context of the European Music Festival Varna, JP3 will premiere their second studio album Between the Worlds, which features their partnership with the Arena Quartet classical musicians: Plamena Jekova violin, Orlin Tsvetanov violin, Valentin Gerov viola and Hristo Tanev chello. A few of the 10 new titles, ringing as a promise of happiness, are: Between the Worlds, The Third Day of the Year, New Step, The Time is Now, etc. Author of the compositions in the album is the creative pianist and composer Jivko Petrov. Between the Worlds will carry the admirers of JP3 in a pleasant state of weightlessness between two worlds the one we inhabit and the fantastic world of music.
